After our circumnavigation we based ourselves in Lagos, Portugal for a couple of years and during that ime we carried out an extensive refurbishment. She now has a new Eno cooker and new galley top surfaces together with new carpets throughout. The mainsail was bought in 2013 and the genoa, although the original has been little used.Instead we replaced the 150 in 2010 which has been, together with the spinnaker, the foresails used most often.

Whyboats, based at Deacon's Yard on the Hamble, are the selling agents and I was pleased to note that Ian Watkins, the MD of Whyboats, was surprised at the condition of Katanne. He asked if we had revarnished throughout and if we had renewed the alcantara upholstery. The varnishing except for some minor touching up and the alcantara are original.

Katanne has served us so well. She is built for comfort, not speed (that said we averaged well over 5kts crossing the Pacific). Nicolette claims never to have got wet, from the sea, during the 10 years she has been on board. In bad weather you can rely on her to keep you safe.

A careful study of the specifications will be worthwhile as will a visit to her. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
